On the eve of the AFC Asian Cup, what can you say in general about the Iranian national football team?

After the change in coaching staff, Iranian coaches with their expertise have joined the national team. Everything is progressing well according to the routine, and good preparations have been made for the team. Positive results have been achieved so far. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to progress well due to an injury, but I’m glad that conditions have improved for the other players. They have shown themselves to the coaching staff and have the chance to continue wearing this jersey. Despite being absent in recent months, I am more determined than ever to make every effort to have the honor of representing the national team on the field once again.

How optimistic are you about the national team’s chances in the AFC Asian Cup?

With the players we have, including individuals like Jahanbakhsh, Azmoun, Taremi, and others performing at the top level in various positions across the best European leagues, we are all striving together to bring ourselves closer to the top tier of world football every day. We aim to achieve significant milestones for our national team and make positive contributions to the football scene in our country. In the upcoming AFC Asian Cup, you will witness how we can make remarkable achievements for our nation, and, God willing, we will demonstrate that we can accomplish great things wearing the national jersey.

How personally confident are you about the opportunity to wear the national team jersey in the AFC Asian Cup?

Perhaps many people may think that, given my current circumstances, participating in the Asian Cup might be out of reach for me. However, I am hopeful about being present in these competitions, and it is definitely not less than a hundred percent. Before the main camp, friendly matches are apparently considered for the national team, and every player undoubtedly hopes to showcase their abilities until the last moment. Since the time I was injured, my sole effort has been to, upon returning to the field, don the national team jersey again and deliver the best performance for this team. Wearing the national team jersey has always been among my aspirations, and now that I am prepared and ready to be on the field, I am hopeful that this opportunity will be granted to me for the upcoming competitions.
